Day 1: Marrakech to Merzouga

Get ready for an epic day trip! We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech and head straight for the mountains. Cruise through the High Atlas Mountains, stopping for pics of stunning views and charming Berber villages.

The next step journey to Ait Ben Haddou, a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site. Keep an eye out – this place has been in movies like Gladiator and The Mummy! Our adventure continues to Ouarzazate, nicknamed “The Gate of the Desert.” After lunch, we’ll wind through the beautiful Rose Valley and Skoura palm forest, dotted with ancient kasbahs.

As the day winds down, we’ll drive through Dades and Todra Valleys before reaching the highlight – Merzouga Desert! Here, you’ll get to ride camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Watch the magical sunset paint the sky, try sandboarding for some thrills, and enjoy the desert landscapes. Then, it’s off to a comfy Berber camp for a delicious dinner and a night under a million stars.

Day 2: Merzouga to Fes

Day two starts with a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and a refreshing shower at the camp, you choose your ride back – hop on a camel for one last adventure, or relax in a 4WD car.

Our journey continues towards Fes. We’ll cruise through the Ziz Valley, following Morocco’s second-longest river. Get your cameras ready – the Middle Atlas Mountains offer stunning views! We’ll stop for lunch to refuel before reaching the Cedar Forest in Azrou. Keep your eyes peeled for playful Barbary macaque monkeys swinging through the trees!

Before arriving in Fes, we’ll make a quick stop in Ifrane, a charming town nicknamed “The Switzerland of Morocco” for its cool climate and European-style architecture. Finally, we’ll drop you off at your hotel in Fes, bringing this whirlwind Moroccan adventure to a perfect end!

Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah

Imagine an old fort straight out of a history textbook, near Marrakech. That’s Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah! It’s like a giant museum you can walk through, with awesome mud-brick buildings and narrow streets. Back in the day, Berber traders would stop here on their way to Timbuktu. My 2-day trip from Marrakech to Fes was unreal! Our guide, Moha, was the best. He wasn’t just showing us places, he was telling us cool facts and stopping to chat with locals so we could learn about Berber culture firsthand. We are a group of 5-person crew who had a 2-day tour from Marrakech to Fes adventure, and it was awesome! We found a good deal on a tour that covered everything. The camp was comfy, the food (breakfast and dinner) was tasty, and our driver, Ali, who grew up in Merzouga, kept us laughing with his jokes.
