4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Your 4 days tour begins with an early departure from Marrakech, heading toward the High Atlas Mountains through the scenic Tizi N’Tichka Pass. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views and stop at several Berber villages for photos and local experiences.

Your first major stop is at the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic landmarks. Walk through its narrow alleys, admire the earthen architecture, and feel the history that still lives within its walls.

Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” where many international films were shot. Visit the Taourirt Kasbah or the film studios before traveling through the Valley of Roses and reaching the Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay in a charming riad or hotel overlooking the valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)

After breakfast, continue your adventure along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing picturesque landscapes filled with traditional mud-brick villages and palm groves.

Arrive at the Todra Gorges, one of Morocco’s natural wonders, where towering cliffs rise dramatically on both sides of the canyon. Take a short walk through the gorge, breathe in the fresh air, and capture some unforgettable photos.

In the afternoon, travel toward Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. When you reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi, your camel guide will lead you on a ride across the golden sands to your desert camp. As the sun sets, enjoy the changing colors of the dunes and the peaceful atmosphere of the desert.

After dinner, gather around the campfire for Berber drumming and music, then rest in a comfortable private tent under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake up early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the dunes one of the most magical moments of the tour. After breakfast and a refreshing shower at the camp, ride camels or transfer by 4×4 back to Merzouga village.

Continue your journey toward Rissani, an ancient market town known for its traditional souk and as the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. Then travel through Alnif and Tazzarine, enjoying the ever-changing landscapes that blend desert plains and green oases.

Arrive in the Draa Valley, famous for its vast palm groves and ancient kasbahs, before heading back to Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, start your return trip to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again. Stop along the way for panoramic views, small Berber villages, and last-minute souvenir shopping.

Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, where your driver will drop you off at your accommodation. This marks the end of your 4 Days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, filled with unforgettable experiences, incredible landscapes, and warm Moroccan hospitality.
